Current Information:Born-Stepney Essex Farm Cemetery, Belgium
On 14th June, 1917, 16th Rifle Brigade of 117 Brigade, 39th Division moved into the front line in the Lancashire Farm sector of the Ypres salient. This, as usual, was the scene of heavy shelling with a daily toll of casualties. One of these was William Mersh who was killed on 15th June.
