George Edwards died from wounds on 14th May, 1915 after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information, as to when and where he was wounded. The 1st London battalion that had been on the Western Front since March, 1915, were then part of 25 Brigade, 8th Division, that had been in action during the Battle of Aubers Ridge on 9th May. |
