Harold Gore died from wounds on 27th April, 1915, after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information as to when and where he was wounded. The 9th London battalion was, at that time, part of 13 Brigade, 5th Division and earlier in the month had been involved in heavy fighting around Hill 60 at Ypres.
