Thomas Chaney died from wounds on 7th September, 1917 but as yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded. The 6th Wiltshire battalion was part of 58 Brigade, 19th Division that had been on the Western Front since July, 1915 and had been involved in both the Battles of Messines and Third Ypres in 1917. |
