On 27th November, 1914, the 2nd West Riding battalion of 13 Brigade, 5th Division, moved into the front line at Wulverghem in Belgium before being relieved two days later and moving back to Neuve Eglise after having had one man killed and three wounded. William Hyde died on 2nd December, 1914, after having been sent to a base hospital on the coast and he may have been one of those wounded. |
