On 24th December, the 1st Irish Guards of 4th (Guards) Brigade, 2nd Division, left their billets in Rue de l’Epinette and moved into some trenches at Festubert where they remained for the rest of the month. John Connolly died from wounds on 28th December but as yet there is no information as to what date he was wounded. |
