Waterloo Road Born-Islington St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France
On 4th June, 1915, the 1st East Kent (Buffs) battalion of 16 Brigade, 6th Division, were relieved from trenches at the Chateau Trois Tours in the |Ypres salient after a two week stay in the front line and the battalion did not return to the trenches until mid-July. George Walkom died from wounds on 3rd July after having been sent to a base hospital in Rouen and it is likely that he was wounded during this period in the trenches |
