On 10 March, 1915 the 1st Bedfordshire battalion of 15 Brigade, 5th Division moved into the front line north of the canal at Ypres where they remained until relieved on 12th March. They were back in these trenches from 15th-16th March before moving back to billets in Vlamertinghe. Arthur Martin died from wounds on 17th March but the exact date on which he was wounded is not known. |
