Frederick Smith died from wounds on 17th February, 1915. but as yet there is no information as to where and on what date he was wounded. The 1st Manchester battalion was part of Jullunder Brigade, Lahore Division of the Indian Corps that had been in France since September, 1914 and had been holding the line near Neuve Chapelle during February, 1915. |
