Henry Harris died from wounds on 7th October, 1914 after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information, as to when and where he was wounded. The 1st Royal West Kent battalion were part of 13 Brigade, 5th Division that had arrived in France in August, 1914 and had been involved in the fighting on the Western Front since that date.
