Current Information:SDGW-TONG Born-Marylebone Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery, Souchez, France 22nd Royal Fusiliers arrived in France in November, 1915 to join 99 Brigade, 2nd Division. Between 17th June and 22nd June, 1916 they were in the front line trenches at Carency, just to the north of Arras. The Battalion Diary entry for 19th June, 1916 simply records that two men were killed and does not go into further detail. One of these men was Albert Tonge. |
