Charles Scorey died from wounds on 15th February, 1915, after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information, as to when and where he was wounded. The 3rd Rifle Brigade battalion was part of 17 Brigade, 6th Division that had arrived in France in September, 1914 and had been involved in the fighting on the Western Front since that date.
